Mrs. Alexander Buried Friday At Greenwood
Mrs. Sallie Foster Alexander, 88, of Rt. 2, Jackson, died Wednesday night following an extended illness.
Mrs. Alexander was born in Pike county, the daughter of Mr. Buford Jefferson Foster and Mrs. Amelia Hogan Foster. She was the widow of Mr. Jesse E. Alexander. She had lived in Butts county for a number of years and was a member of Westend Church of Christ in Atlanta.
Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Haisten's Chapel in Jackson with Rev. Ben F. Stone, pastor of Worthville Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery in Atlanta with Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles L. Cochran of Jackson, a granddaughter, Mrs. Walter Cutcliff one grandson, Hubert Dawson both of Atlanta, and several nieces and nephews.
