Miss Clara Allen Died on Friday.
Miss Clara Allen, 49, died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Claudia Welch Allen, in McDonough Friday morning, May 20. Miss Allen was born and reared in Butts county and lived here until a few years ago when the family moved to McDonough. She suffered a stroke in February and had been in declining health since then.
Besides her mother, she is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Trudy Cardell, Mrs. Lennie Mae Carter, Mrs. Eunice Austin of McDonough, Mrs. Lois Thomason of Covington; two brothers, Walter, of McDonough and Clarence of Griffin.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Sardis church, Rev. Padgett officiating. Interment was in the churchyard.
