Henry Allen, 50, Called by Death
Henry Allen, 50, native of Jackson and son of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Allen of this city, died in a Atlanta hospital Friday.
Funeral services were held at the chapel of Harwell's Funeral Home in Covington Sunday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. S. S. Williams officiating. Burial was in the Covington cemetery.
Mr. Allen was born here and attended the Jackson schools. At one time he was a rural mail carrier at the Jackson office. He served an enlistment in the US Navy and before locating in Covington was a printer in Jackson. For several years he was connected with the Covington News in its printing department.
His mother was Mrs. Laura Hanes Allen and his father was Fred M. Allen, widely known as a Mason before his death several years ago. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Marie Death of Covington; one sister, Mrs. John I. Kelly of Atlanta.
