Ina Ridgeway Allen

Ina Ridgeway Allen, 94, of 832 Macon Ave., Jackson, died Friday night at Sylvan Grove Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Allen was a native of Butts County, daughter of the late Thomas J. Ridgeway and Delia Thaxton Ridgeway. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jackson.
Survivors include two daughters, Julia Hay and Louise Davis, both of Jackson; granddaughter, Miriam Duffey of Jackson; great granddaughters, Vanilu Evans and Sallie Whitaker, both of Jackson; great-great grandchildren, Anthony Robert Evans, Lacey Annette Evans, Stephanie Janice Whitaker, and Robert Wayne Whitaker, all of Jackson; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Sherrell Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben Wright officiating. Burial was in the Jackson cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Ridgeway, Wilborn Ridgeway, Harry Ridgeway, Tom Ridgeway, Billy Ridgeway, and Perry Ridgeway. Members of the Butts County Sheriff's Department served as honorary pallbearers.
Sherrell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
