Mrs. Mary Margaret Elder Allen
Mrs. Margaret Allen Summoned By Death.
Following an illness of several months and a period of ill health extending over more than a year, Mrs. Margaret Allen, age 89, passed away at her home at Indian Springs Monday morning at 10 o'clock. For several months, Mrs. Allen had been an invalid and her death, which was due to the infirmities of old age, was not unexpected.
Mrs. Allen was a native of Monticello and was Miss Margaret Elder before her marriage. She had been a resident of Butts county for many years and was a faithful member of the Methodist church. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She is survived by one son, Mr. R. L. Allen, prominent merchant of Flovilla; two daughters, Mrs. Ida Allen, of Indian Springs, and Mrs. Nannie Coleman, Atlanta.
The funeral was held at Flovilla Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock, with Rev. A. W. Warwick officiating. Interment was in the Flovilla cemetery.
