Mr. Orren Allen Obit

Mr. Orren Allen

Death of Mr. Allen.
After an illness of about two weeks Mr. Orren Allen died at his home just above town last Monday night.
Mr. Allen was a Confederate veteran and the comrades left will regret to hear of his death, reminding them, as it does, that their numbers will soon be obliterated. He had been incapacitated to do manual labor for a number of years, but almost one of his last acts was to render what assistance he could to the fatal Camp Creek wreck and though his work here may never be fully known, it will be secretly recorded to his credit. The Weekly joins the friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
His remains were laid to rest in the Bethany cemetery. Peace be to his ashes. - Henry County Weekly.
The deceased was a brother of Mr. W. J. Allen of this place.
