Mrs. Elizabeth J. McMichael Andrews

Beloved Woman Is Summoned By Death.
Following a period of ill health extending over many years and a critical illness of some time, Mrs. Elizabeth Andrews, aged 72, died at her home a few miles from Jackson Monday morning at 6 o'clock. She suffered from a complication of ailments and her passing did not occasion surprise.
Mrs. Andrews was one of the best known and widely beloved women in the county. She was the widow of the late Mr. J. W. Andrews, whose death occurred on June 1, 1921. Before marriage she was Miss Elizabeth McMichael, member of an old and prominent family of Butts county. She was universally admired for her many fine traits of character and was a consecrated type of Christian womanhood. Her friends held her in the most affectionate esteem and she was broad and liberal in her charities. She had been a member of Macedonia church for fifty years or more and was a useful and loyal worker in church and religious affairs. Her passing causes sincere sorrow to a host of friends and relatives.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ghittie Cook, of Jackson; two half brothers, Mr. B. T. McMichael, of Cork and E. J. McMichael, of Lynchburg, Va., as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Macedonia Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock, with her pastor, Rev. I. G. Walker, of Locust Grove, conducting the services. Many relatives and friends gathered for a final tribute and the lovely floral offerings showed the esteem in which she was held. Interment was in the churchyard.
