The aged Mrs. Mary Andrews who has been ill for some time, died at the home of her son, Mr. Walter Andrews, Monday morning. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at Macedonia.

At the age of 84 years Mrs. Mary Andrews answers death's call Funeral Tuesday afternoon.
At the ripe old age of 84 years and after a life of usefulness in the community, Mrs. Mary Andrews, one of the most beloved and highly respected women in the county, passed away at the home of her son, Mr. J. W. Andrews, at an early hour Monday morning. Pneumonia with which she suffered only a few days, was the cause of death.
Mrs. Andrews was one of the oldest residents of Butts county. She was a splendid type of the faithful wife, devoted mother and christian woman and at her passing many hearts are sadden. Before her marriage Mrs. Andrews was a Miss Nelson. She was the widow of the late John Andrews and spent the greater part of her life in this county.
Four sons, Messrs. J. W. and W. M. Andrews, of this county, O. A. Andrews of McDonough, and S. E. Andrews, of Atlanta, and several grandchildren survive Mrs. Andrews.
The funeral was held at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Macedonia Baptist church of which she was a member. Many friends gathered to pay a last tribute to one who was held in universal esteem. The services were conducted by Rev. W. R. Kennedy, of Jenkinsburg.

Lifelong Resident of Butts County, Died Monday.
Mrs. Mary K. Nelson Andrews, one of the oldest of the citizens of Butts county, died at the home of her son, J. W. Andrews, at Stark Monday morning at 8 o'clock, after an illness pneumonia of only one week's duration. To many who have known this kind-hearted, estimable lady, the news of her death will bring sadness.
Mrs. Andrews was the widow of the late John Andrews, a prominent planter of eastern Butts. She was in her eighty-fifth year and remarkably preserved and active for one of that age, and had been a member of Macedonia Baptist church for over sixty years.
She was a noble-hearted, Christian woman, modest and retiring in disposition, always leaving others to speak of her excellent qualities and good works. She possessed a loving disposition and was at all times an interesting companion.
At 3 o'clock Tuesday her body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Macedonia church, where she had so long and faithfully attended services. The services were conducted by Rev. W. D. Kennedy, pastor of the church at Jenkinsburg, and was attended by many of her most devoted lifelong friends and neighbors.
Surviving the deceased are four sons, J. W. Andrews, of Stark; O. A. Andrews, of McDonough; S. E. Andrews, of Atlanta, and W. M. Andrews, of Atlanta, all of whom were at her bedside when she passed away.
Among other relatives from out of county who attended the funeral were Mrs. Mary Murphy, of Stonewall; W. D. Nelson and Dozier Fields, of McDonough; John Wynn and Terrell Grady Pressely, of Eatonton; and Paul Andrews, of Atlanta.
