Rites in Forsyth for Mrs. Andrews
Funeral services for Mrs. W. Y. Andrews, 37 years of age, prominent resident of Barnesville, who died at her home in Barnesville June 20, were held at the Forsyth Methodist church Friday at 3 p. m. The Rev. John Tate, pastor of the Barnesville Methodist church, officiated and was assisted by Dr. L. S. Williams, pastor of the Barnesville Baptist church, the Rev. J. H. Clark, pastor of the Forsyth Presbyterian church and the Rev. G. F. Venable, pastor of the Forsyth Methodist church. Burial was in the Forsyth cemetery.
Mrs. Andrew's death resulted after a long illness. She was born in Dawson and had resided in Barnesville for eleven years. She was active in religious and civic affairs, Mrs. Andrew's death resulted after a long illness. She was born in Dawson and had resided in Barnesville for eleven years. She was active in religious and civic affairs, being a member of the Barnesville Methodist church and Cabaniss chapter Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Andrews formerly served as vice president of the WCTU in the sixth district and was an active worker in PTA circles.
Surviving are her husband, superintendent of the Lamar Electric Membership Corporation, and one son, Jimmy; her mother, Mrs. Frank Thompson, of Forsyth; two sisters, Mrs. A. S. Buron, of Forsyth, and Mrs. Robert Franklin, of Jackson; one niece, Martha Boyt Franklin and a nephew, Bobby Franklin, both of Jackson.
Mrs. Andrews' had often visited her sister, Mrs. Robert Franklin, and had many friends here who were grieved to learn of her death.
