T. E. Andrews Was Buried Here Sunday
Funeral services for Mr. Tommie E. Andrews, of Atlanta, were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Zion Grove Baptist Church in Jackson. Tommie was the elder son of Tom Andrews and the late Mrs. Andrews of Jackson. His father, popularly know as "Doc" was employed by Settle & Robison for 40 or more years.
Tommie, who owned and operated a restaurant on Martin Luther King Drive in Atlanta for a number of years, was slain last week by two gunmen who committed the murder while in the process of robbery. Atlanta police have since apprehended two suspects in connection with the crime.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eva Andrews; four children; father, Mr. Tom Andrews; two sisters, Mrs. Essie Mae and Annie Lois Johnson.
Rev. Walter James officiated at the funeral service and interment was in the Jackson City Cemetery.
