Mrs. Arendell, 68, Buried Saturday in Birmingham
Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Belle Redman Arendell, 68, widow of Archie C. Arendell of Birmingham, Ala., were conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Stark Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Birmingham, Ala.
Mrs. Arendell, a native of Butts County, died Thursday night at Sylvan Grove Hospital following a short illness. She was born in the Stark community, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom E. Redman, and spent her childhood years there. She lived in Birmingham, Ala. for a number of years, returning to Butts County about four years ago where she resided at Westbury Nursing Home at Jenkinsburg.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. George C. Triplett of Atlanta; one son, Capt, James E. Arendell of Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Emily Fussell of Savannah; brother, Edgar Redman of Helena; six grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Margarite Redman of Helena.
Haisten Funeral Horne had charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Cliett Redman Jr., Nevin Duffey, Max Redman, Emerson McMichael, Asa O'Neal and Avon Gaston.
