Robert Eugene Artman
Robert Eugene Artman, 62, of Route 1, Jackson, died Friday morning at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Decatur after an illness of several weeks.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Jackson.
Mr. Artman, a native of New Hensington, Pa., had lived in Butts County for the past 19 years. Before ill health, he was employed in the pest control business. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife, Emmie Lou Artman; son, Rick Thomas Artman of Macon; two grandsons; a sister, Jean McMahon of Youngstown, Ohio; four nieces, one nephew.
Sherrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
