Miss Emily Elizabeth Atkinson

Miss Emily Elizabeth Atkinson, 89, of Atlanta died Friday, Sept. 6.
A graveside service was held Saturday afternoon, Sept. 7, in Jackson City Cemetery, with the Rev. Fred Plate officiating.
Miss Atkinson was the daughter of the late Thomas Pinson and Clara Phillips Atkinson. She is the granddaugther of the late Rev. Alexander A. Atkinson, formerly of Jackson, and Harriett Bledsoe Atkinson; and the late Wiley H. and Emma E. Phillips.
Survivors include her cousins, Mrs. C. M. Cross of Douglas, Carolyn Payne of Pompano Beach, Fla., James W. Payne of Conyers, Carol Gordon of Lilbum, Mina Atkinson Head, Lucille Atkinson Horton of Griffin, Alma Atkinson Flynt of Americus, Elsie Hamlett of Peach tree City, and Phil Story of Dalton.
A. S. Turner & Sons in Atlanta were in charge of funeral arrangements.
