Atkinson Child Died Monday in Griffin Hospital
Funeral services for Melanie Kim Atkinson, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Atkinson, were held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Peacock & Ball Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Tompkins, pastor of the Pepperton Baptist Church, officiating.
The child, six weeks old, died Monday morning in the Griffin-Spalding Hospital.
Survivors include the parents and one brother, Glenn Atkinson Jr.; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Enlow of Jackson; paternal grandparents, J. R. Atkinson of Atlanta and Mrs. J. R. Atkinson of New York City, N. Y.; great grandmother, Mrs. Lucile Scarbrough, Jackson.
Interment was in the Jackson cemetery with Peacock & Ball Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
