Wesley Cooper - Killed by a Gin
On Friday last as Mr. Wesley Cooper was ginning cotton on the plantation of Mr. J. W. Roberts in Jones county, he got his hand entangled in the saws in some way, and in a second his arm to the elbow was cut and the unfortunate man bled to death and was buried yesterday. Mr. Cooper was well liked by all who knew him, and had the reputation of being a skilled workman.
