Mrs. Ingram Buried In Oak Hill
Mrs. Mary Will Graddy Ingram, 92, of 522 South Mulberry Street, Jackson, died at 7:40 o'clock Sunday evening at Sylvan Grove Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Lamar County on, December 8, 1879, she was the daughter of Mr. George Louis Graddy and Mrs. Mollie Doyal Graddy, of Spalding County. She moved with her parents to Spalding County in 1882 where she resided until 1912 when she moved to Butts County to make her home. She was the widow of Mr. Joseph Emerson Brown Ingram and a member of the First Baptist Church of Griffin.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock from the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. L. Reed Polk, Jr., pastor of the First Baptist Church, Forest Park officiating. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin with Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Miss Lemma Ingram of Jackson; three sons, Jack D. Ingram of Jackson, Quinton C. Ingram of Miami, Fla. and Charles R. Ingram of Forest Park; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Lexie Ingram of Jackson, Mrs. Imogene Ingram of West Palm Beach Fla.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Hannah Graddy of Miami, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Walter Lee Collins, Lee Wilkinson, George Loehndorf, Hulon Cook, Rufus Kitchens, Horace Wilson.
