Irby Rites Set For Thursday
Last rites for Lewis Barber Irby, 65, who died early Monday at his home in Flovilla, are to be held Thursday at 2 p. m. in the Flovilla Methodist Church. The Rev. W. H. Lewis will officiate and burial will follow in the Flovilla Cemetery with Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The pallbearers selected are R. R. Edwards, Leonard Hodges, C. A. Anthony, H. B Whitaker, Raymond Smith, George Barnes.
Mr. Irby who was born in Flovilla and had lived in Atlanta and elsewhere, as a traveling salesman. He returned to Flovilla a year ago for residence. He was a member of the Flovilla Methodist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Eva Maude Bowman Irby; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Smith of Macon; three sons, William of Albany, Fred of Atlanta and James Irby of New York; a sister, Mrs. Ed Reese of Sparta; two brothers, Joe Terrell, Charlotte, N. C. and Jesse Terrell of Thomaston.
