Carl R. Ireland Died in Atlanta
Mr. Carl Reed Ireland, 63, brother of Mr. Sam J. Ireland of Jackson, died Friday at his home at 687 Cherokee Ave. SE, Atlanta after suffering a heart attack. He had been in ill health for about two years.
Mr. Ireland was born in Smyrna and was an Army veteran of World War II. He had been a resident of Atlanta most of his life.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, July 3rd, at one o'clock form the chapel of Henry M. Blanchard & Son. Rev. Frank Echols, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Smyrna, officiated. Interment was in the Marietta National Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carl Reed Ireland of Atlanta; two brothers, Mr. Sam J. Ireland of Jackson; M. H. Ireland of Hialeah, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. T. L. Dempsey of Atlanta; Mrs. C. P. Osburn of Smyrna.
