Vera Lewis Ireland

Vera Lewis Ireland died Tues., Oct. 5, at Westbury Medical Care Home.
Funeral services were held Fri., Oct. 8, in the chapel of Sherrell Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Stunkel officiating. Interment was in the Jackson City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ireland was born Oct. 6, 1899 in Sanangelo, Texas, daughter of the late Howard James and Estella Johnson Lewis. She was the widow of the late Sam J. Ireland and was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Butts County.
Survivors include sisters June Brooks of Covington and Jean Epps of Marietta; nephews Charles L. Earwood of Punta Gorda, Fla., Steve Earwood of Pinehurst, N. C, Terry Earwood of Sebring, Fla., Sam Sherrill of Atlanta and Larry Sherrill of Eatonton.
Sherrell Funeral Home of Jackson was in charge of arrangements.
