W. D. Ivey Died On Thursday
Mr. William D. Ivey, 67, of Route 1, Flovilla, died Thursday, February 21st, in Sylvan Grove Hospital after apparently suffering a heart attack.
Mr. Ivey was a native of Social Circle, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ivey. He was a retired security officer and had moved to the Flovilla community from Atlanta in August.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 25, with interment in the Ivey Cemetery at Social Circle. J. Austin Dillon Funeral Home, Atlanta, was in charge of arrangements. Rev. Larry Youngblood, pastor of Westside Baptist Church, officiated.
Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Daniel Ivey, of Flovilla; two daughters, Mrs. LinveII Bowen of Flovilla and Mrs. Bobby Moody of Jonesboro; one son, Eugene Ivey of Mableton; and 12 grandchildren.
