Mr. Washington Phillips

It becomes our sad duty to announce the death of Mr. Washington Phillips, an
old and esteemed citizen of this county, who has been confined to his bed with
rheumatism for the past six months, and of which he had been a sufferer for
many years. Mr. Phillips was a true man, a devout christian, and well beloved
by all who knew him, and though his sufferings were severe, he bore them with
christian fortitude. We extend to the bereaved family our deepest sympathies.
