Henry G. Quinn Buried Thursday In Jacksonville
Funeral services for Mr. Henry Grady Quinn were held Thursday afternoon, August 24, at two o'clock with the Rev. Bruce Pickering, pastor of the Main Street Methodist Church, Jacksonville, Fla., officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Jacksonville, with Hardage & Sons in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Quinn passed away Tuesday morning in Lake City, Fla., Veterans Hospital after a lingering illness. Mr. Quinn first discovered he had the dreaded incurable disease nine years ago and put up a gallant fight for life for a great number of years, spending most of his time in the Veterans Hospital in Lake City.
Born and reared in Butts county, Mr. Quinn was the son of the late Henry J. Quinn and Mrs. Addie Grant Quinn. He was associated with Pepperton Cotton Mills for a long number of years before moving to Newport News, Va. He moved to Jacksonville in 1952 and made his home there until the time of his death.
Mr. Quinn is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Britt Quinn, Jacksonville; four daughters, Mrs. Kate Voshell and Mrs. Lea Eason, both of Jacksonville; Miss Patsy Quinn, Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Miss Betty Quinn, Washington, D. C.; two sons, William Quinn and Henry Quinn, Jacksonville; one sister, Mrs. Roberta Bethune Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Richard E. Quinn, U. S. Navy and Jackson, Ga.; Thomas F. Quinn, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil; stepmother, Mrs. Henry J. Quinn of Jacksonville, Fla. and Jackson; nine grandchildren.
