Henry Jones Quinn

Henry J. Quinn Called by Death.
Henry Jones Quinn, 79, associated with the Pepperton Cotton Mills for 50 years until his retirement in February, 1948, die din the Macon City Hospital Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 23. He had been in declining health for several months.
Son of Thomas Quinn and Martha turner Quinn of Hancock county, Mr. Quinn spent an active career with the Pepperton Cotton Mills here and at the time of his retirement was foreman of the cloth room. He was widely known and esteemed in the community and took an active interest in politics and good government. He was a member of the Jackson Methodist church.
Survivors are w his wife, Mrs. Lucy Myrtle Britt Quinn; one daughter, Mrs. B. F. Bethune of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, Richard and Henry Grady Quinn of Jackson; Thomas Felder Quinn of Uruguay, South America.
Funeral services were held at the Pepperton Baptist church Friday at 3 p.m. Rev Ralph Shea officiated and burial was in the Pepperton cemetery with Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers were Harvey James, Clarence Byars, Robert Strawn, Horace Grant, Alfred Grant, Earl Grant. The honorary pallbearers were Robert L. Byars, Ramond Byars, Carlton Byars, Horace Bradley, Alton Bradley, Marvin Bradley.
