Mrs. Quinn Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Lucy Myrtle Britt Quinn, 81, of the Westbury Medical Care Home in Jenkinsburg died at 12:15 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Griffin-Spalding County Hospital following a lengthy illness.
A lifetime resident of Butts County, Mrs. Quinn was born October 28, 1889 to the late Mr. Thomas Britt of Louisiana and Mrs. Georgia Barnett Britt of Butts County. She was the widow of Mr. Henry Jones Quinn and was a charter member of the Second Baptist Church of Jackson.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock at the Second Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Dreyer of Jackson officiating. Interment was in Pepperton Cemetery with Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Quinn is survived by a daughter, Mrs. L. J. Reed of Decatur; a son, Richard E. Quinn of Ellenwood; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
