Lewis Usher
Lewis Usher, 55, of Route 3, Jackson died Thursday in Macon following an apparent heart attack.
A native of Henry County, Mr. Usher was the son of the late Jessie and Mattie Mae Williams Usher. He was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jeanette Usher; stepmother, Mrs. Fannie Mae Usher of Atlanta; children, Mrs. Mary Sue Barber, Mrs. Betty Fish, Mrs. Dorothy Hall, all of Jackson, and Jimmy Fish of Atlanta; sisters, Mrs. Annie Rosser of Jackson, Mrs. Mary Alberta Holland, Mrs. Dorothy Harris, and Mrs. Joanne Usher, all of Atlanta; brothers, Robert James, Jesse James, and Willie Usher, all of Jackson; J. W. Usher of Philadelphia, and Tommy Usher of Tuskegee, Ala.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church in McDonough with the Rev. J. H. Watson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Trimier-Jackson Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
