Mrs. Willie Harmon Varnedoe

Mrs. Varnedoe, Butts Native, Died October 10
Mrs. W. W. Varnedoe, the former Miss Willie Harmon, died Monday, October 10th, in a Huntsville, Ala. hospital.
Born and reared in Butts County she was the daughter of the late Mr. Newton Joseph Harmon and Mrs. Leila Bankston Harmon. She had lived in Atlanta for more than 25 years and was a retired Western Union operator. She was a member of St. Mark Methodist Church.
Graveside services were held Wednesday morning at 11:30 o'clock at Westview Cemetery with Dr. Bevel Jones officiating.
Survivors include her husband; a son, W. W. Varnedoe Jr. of Huntsville, Ala.; seven sisters, Mrs. Troy McClure, Mrs. Walter Jones and Mrs. Hope McClure, all of Jackson; Mrs. E. H. Owen.
