Mrs. Mildred Rose Varner

Mrs. Mildred Rose Varner of 143 West College Street in Jackson died Dec. 8 at Westbury Medical Care Home in Jackson.
The funeral was held Thursday, Dec. 12, at Rock Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jacob Parker officiating. Burial was in Jackson City Cemetery.
Mrs. Varner was born in Monroe County, daughter of the late Giles and Roxie Smith. She was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and the ushers board.
The Conrad Hilton & Towers the headquarters for Naband, Willie James Varner; brother, Eddie Smith of Atlanta; sisters Eleola Morgan and Alice Head, both of Jackson; sisters-in-law, Rilla Smith, Minnie Smith, Alma Thurman, and Velma Wyatt, all of Jackson, Susie Varner and Christine Varner of New York; and several nieces and nephews.
Trimier Funeral Home in Jackson was in charge of arrangements.
