Braxton B. Vaughn Buried Monday At Old Bethel
Funeral services for Braxton B. Vaughn, 67, were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Old Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder W. S. Kelly and the Rev. Walter Blackwell officiating.
A native of Butts county and a highly respected farmer in the Old Bethel community where he made his home, he died Saturday evening at Atlanta's Emory Hospital, after an illness of short duration. He was a deacon in and faithful member of the Old Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James H. Broach, Atlanta, and Mrs. H. M. Young, Forest Park; three sons, H. H. Vaughn, R. A. Vaughn and A. E. Vaughn, all of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. H. E. Brown and Mrs. L. N. Maddox, both of Jackson; three brothers, Troy Vaughn, Jasper, Fla.; Dewitt Vaughn of Oaktown, Ind.; George Vaughn, Barnesville; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers. were W. E. Vaughn, Victor Brown, Ralph Vaughn, Audy Maddox, Bernard Maddox and Ralph Maddox.
