Heart Attack Proves Fatal tp Mrs. Vaughn
A sudden heart attack Saturday morning at her residence proved fatal to Mrs. Lizzie Thomas Vaughn, 65, of Jackson, route 1, widow of the late Taylor W. Vaughn.
Mrs. Vaughn, who had been in apparent good health until the time of the attack, was born in Butts county, the daughter of the late George Washington Thomas and Rosanna Cook.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Old Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder J. P. S. Stephens and Elder Earl Myers officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Raleigh James, Rufus Vaughn, Alvin Vaughn, Harold Vaughn, Victor Brown and Wilmer Maddox.
Mrs. Vaughn is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hugh Barnes of Jackson; one son, Lamar Vaughn of Jackson; one brother, George Thomas of Jackson, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
