Macedonia Rites for Mrs. Vaughn
Funeral services for A Mrs. Martha Ann Pelt Vaughn, 86, former resident of Butts county, who died Saturday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. H. H. Ratliff at Experiment, were conducted at Macedonia church Sunday at 4 p. m. The Rev. J. M. Mize and the Rev. Walter Kelly officiated and burial was in the churchyard.
Mrs. Vaughn, widow of the late Mr. James Pierce Vaughn, spent most of her life in Butts county but recently had lived in Griffin. Death followed a n illness of several months.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. H. H. Ratliff, Experiment; |Mrs. Oscar Brooks, Jackson; Mrs. F. L. Rape, McDonough; four sons, J. M. Vaughn, Miami, Fla.; Ira L. and R. E. Vaughn, Jackson, and Luther Vaughn, Alcoa, Tenn.; one sister, Miss Mary Katherine Pelt, McDonough; a brother, Henry L. Pelt, Atlanta.
