Max L. Vaughn Died Friday in Atlanta Hospital
Funeral services for Max Lanier Vaughn, 13, were held Sunday afternoon at Tanner's Baptist Church, Conley, which he attended, being a memebr of the intermediate Sunday School Class.
The young boy, a seventh grade student at Bouldercrest Elementary School in DeKalb County, died May 11 in a private hospital following a three weeks illness. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Vaughn and lived at 3028 Woodham Way, S. E., Atlanta.
The Rev. Kimsey Warr, Rev. Harold Kelly and Elder W. S. Kelly officiated with burial in the Jackson City Cemetery. Abercrombie-Patterson Funeral Directors of Forest Park were in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Lanier Rutledge, Billy Jeffares, Herman Brown, Harold Vaughn, Alvin E. Vaughn and Victor Brown.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Vaughn; one sister, Miss Linda Vaughn, all of Atlanta; a brother, Walter Vaughn, Stewart AFB, New York; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Ridgeway and Mrs. H. M. Vaughn, all of Jackson.
