Heart Attack At Home Claims Mrs. J. O. Vaughn
Mrs. Ossie Viola Holloway Vaughn, 72, of Route 1, Jackson, died suddenly Saturday afternoon at her home in the Old Bethel Community. Death was believed attributable to a heart attack. She was the widow of Mr. James Otis Vaughn.
Born in Jasper County, Mrs. Vaughn was the daughter of Mr. John Holloway and Mrs. Annie Goodman Holloway of Jasper County. She had lived most of her life in Butts County and was a member of the Old Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at two o'clock at Old Bethel Church with Elder Shirley Kelly and Elder Roy Speir officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Vaughn is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Fred Morgan of Jackson; Mrs. Irene Tyler, Mrs. Fred Tyler and Mrs. Herman Tyler, all of Monticello; one brother, L. L. Holloway of Monticello; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Otho Morgan, Lawrence Morgan, Harold Tyler, A. W. Tyler, Bill Tyler, John H. Holloway.
