Mr. S. L. Vaughn

S. L. Vaughn Services Held April 26th
Mr. S. L. Vaughn, of Covington, father of Mrs. Acie Smith of Jackson, died April 24th.
Funeral services were held Monday at three o'clock from Stewart Baptist Church, with remains placed in state at 2 p.m. Rev. Gordon White, Rev. Frank Norris, and Rev. Paul Wolfe officiated. Interment was in Lawnwood Cemetery with J. C. Harwell & Son of Covington in charge.
Mr. Vaughn is survived by daughters, Mrs. Louise Jones of Mansfield, Mrs. Acie (Florence) Smith of Jackson; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Hollis Vaughn of Covington; son, Mr. Carol Vaughn of Covington; sixteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren.
