Willie Lamar Vaughn

Willie Lamar Vaughn, 73, of Route 4, Old Bethel Road, Jackson, died Monday at Sylvan Grove Hospital after a lengthy period of declining health.
The funeral was held Wednesday, June 5, in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in Jackson, with Elder George Riley officiating. Burial was in ,the Old Bethel Church cemetery.
Mr. Vaughn was born in Butts County, son of the late T. W. (Will) and Eva Taylor Vaughn.
He was a former construction worker, and a deacon and member of Old Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Butts County.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Hugh Barnes of Jackson; nephew. Bill and Linda Barnes; nieces, Carol and Puff Parris, Sandra and Tony Thurston, Debbie and Danny Lunsford, and Sherry and Ellis Mayo; stepmother, Lizzie Thomas Vaughn.
Haisten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
