Hugh Clifton Venn

Hugh Clifton Venn of Jackson died Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Crawford Long Hospital.
Funeral services and interment were held Saturday, Feb. 4, in the Crestwood Funeral Home in Gadsden, AL.
Mr. Venn was born Aug. 25, 1922 in Cherokee County, son of the late Edwin Venn and Lillian Dumas Venn.
He had been a foreman at Snapper Co. in McDonough and was a veteran of the Army, serving in World War II. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include wife, Iline Pate Venn of Jackson; daughters, Sandra Shields of Bether Springs, TN, Belinda Holley of Conley and Jean Long of Conyers; brother, Charles Venn of Gastonia, NC; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Crestwood Funeral Home of Gadsden, AL was in charge of arrangements.
