Marshall Virden, Sr.

Marshall Virden Sr., 68, of 455 N. McKibben St., Jackson died Jan. 10.
The funeral was held Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Henderson officiating.
Burial was in the Jackson cemetery.
Mr. Virden was a native of Butts County, son of Fonnie and Hattie Virden. He was a veteran of World War II and was a deacon at St. James Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Maudene Virden; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rosa Richardson of Jackson and Hattie and Sidney Crespo of Tampa, Fla.; three sons and, two daughters-in-law, Marshall Jr. and Reba Virden of Sylvania, William and Maudell Grier of Atlanta, and William Jackson of Bowling Green, Ky.; 18 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Ruby Kate Freeman of Cincinnati, Ohio; seven sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; several nephews and nieces.
Trimier - Jackson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
