Claude Ambrose Virgin, Sr.
C. A. Virgin, Sr., Power Employee, Taken by Death.
C. S. Virgin Sr., retired Georgia Power Company employee, resident of Atlanta but living in Jackson for the past ten years, died at his home Saturday. Death resulted from a heart attack.
Mr. Virgin was well known to Butts county people and had hosts of friends here. For a long span of years he was connected with the Georgia Power Company in the land division and was considered an authority on land lines and has a wide acquaintance over the state. He was associated with J. A. Dodson in the ownership of several pieces of Jackson property and farm land.
Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. in Trinity Chapel and Rev. Paul Aiken officiated. Burial was in the Decatur cemetery.
Mrs. J. A. Dodson, Mrs. A. A. Thrasher and Mrs. S. W. Maddox attended the funeral.
Survivors include his wife and two sons, C. A. Virgin Jr., Atlanta and J. E. Virgin, Macon; a daughter, Mrs. H. T. Camp of Norris, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. A. V. Hall of Macon and nine grandchildren.
