Mr. John Waters Yancey MR. JOHN W. YANCEY YIELDS TO DEATH-S CALL
Following a period of ill health extending over several months and a serious illness of some weeks, Mr. John W. Yancey, 67 years of age, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. C. Redman, at Stark, Tuesday night at 7 o´clock.
Mr. Yancey was one of the county´s well known citizens, having spent most of his life here.  He was held in high esteem by many friends, and was popular and well liked by those who knew him.  He was a member of Stark Methodist church.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o´clock at Macedonia church, Rev. E. C. Wilson, of Jenkinsburg, conducting the services.

The funeral was largely attended, attesting the esteem of friends.  Interment was in Macedonia cemetery.
Surviving Mr. Yancey are his wife, who was a Miss Barnes before her marriage; three daughters, Mrs. Henry Bankston, Mrs. H. H. Greer and Mrs. W. C. Redman; two sons, Messrs. P. B and C. G. Yancey, all of whom have the sympathy of scores of friends in their sorrow.

(John Waters Yancey was born April 28,1854 in Newton County Georgia and died October 17, 1920 in Butts County Georgia.)
