Naamon York
Naamon York, 72, of Route 2, Jackson, the Macon Road, died Thursday evening at the Medical Center in Columbus.
Mr. York was born in Gwinnett County. He was a retired truck driver and had lived in Jackson for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Gramlin York; daughters, Lavonne Merritt of Jackson, Barbara Faulkner of Mabelton, Brenda Bell of Austell, and Joan Adair of Mobile, Ala.; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers, Jim York of Red Oak and Ernest York of Locust Grove; sister, Clair King Of Atlanta.
The funeral was held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Sherrell Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Barker officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Flat Baptist Church cemetery at Woodstock.
Sherrell Funeral Home of Jackson was in charge of arrangements.
