Harold Wesley (Red) Young
Harold Wesley (Red) Young, 57, of Route 2, Jackson, the Monticello Road, died Aug. 6 at Sylvan Grove Hospital.
Mr. Young was a native of Hancock County, son of the late Lines Watson Young and Nannie Lou Clark Young. He worked many years in the grocery business 20 years at the Colonial Store in Jackson and four years at Giant Mart. He retired several years ago due to ill health. Mr. Young was a member-of Jenkinsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mortice Etheridge Young; daughters, Mrs. Neal Allen of Jackson and Linda Hester of Norcross; son, Kevin Young of Jackson; four grandchildren; sister, Ruth Ingram of Gainesville, Fla.; brother, Marshall Young of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Haisten's chapel with the Rev. Preston Bridges and the Rev. A. L. Price officiating. Burial was in the Jenkinsburg cemetery.
Pallbearers were Norman Young, Jerry Brooks, Keith Bridges, David Etheridge, Oscar Young, and Gregg Allen.
Haisten Funeral Home of Jackson was in charge of arrangements.
