OUR COLLEGE

It is with pleasure that we state that the Jackson college is now an assured success.   The building committee after advertising for some time for bids concluded to employ a foreman and do the work by day labor, thus saving, the profit usually made by contractors.  Mr. T. J. Bryan, who is one of the finest house builders in the middle Georgia was selected to boss the job and work was began on last Wednesday and is being rapidly pushed forward.  A number of hands are already at work on the building and others will be employed and the building will be completed as early as possible.  Middle

The New College

Our New college is beginning to put on the appearance of a house.   The frame is nearly all up and during this week a large portion of the weather boxing will be put on.  It is a massive structure and when completed will furnish ample room for several hundred pupils.  It is being built on the latest improved plans of college buildings and will be one of the finest buildings for school purposes in the State.
