Abraham Cook, Jr.3 , Abraham2 Cooke, William1) was born in Anson County, North Carolina
June 10, 1802. James died after 1880 Chattooga County, Georgia.
He
married twice. He married unknown. He married Elizabeth Huse in Anson
County, North Carolina, 1832. Elizabeth was born in North Carolina 1813.
Elizabeth died between 1853-1860 Chattooga County, Georgia, at 40 years of age.
James is found in the 1830 Anson County, North Carolina census. His familiy
consists of one male (William), 2 females (Mary and Malinda), 1 female 20-30, wife.
In the 1860 census in Chattooga County, Georgia (page 552, July 25, 1860), he
is listed as age 58, a farmer, with no living wife. At home are his children,
John, 19 (born in Georgia), Franklin, 21 (borh in North Carolina), Henry,17 (born
in Georgia), Jane, 17 (born in Georgia), Julia A, 10, (born in Georgia) and George
W., 8 (born in Georgia).
In the 1880 census he was living in the household
of his son, George W. Cook.

She married George Washington Rose Chattooga County, Georgia, July 25, 1846.

County, Georgia, 1850. Sarah was born in Georgia 1834.
37 iv. Savinda Cook was born in Anson County, North Carolina 1831.
James W. Cook and Elizabeth Huse had the following children:

Henry died January 14, 1863 Chattooga County, Georgia, at 19 years of age. Henry
enlisted March 1, 1862 as a private in Company K, 21st infantry. He was wounded
at Manossas Junction, Virginia on August 26, 1862. He died of his wounds at his
home in Georgia in 1863.

39. James Franklin8 Cook (James W.7, Robert6,
Charles5, Charles4, Abraham Cook, Jr.3 , Abraham2 Cooke, William1) was born in Anson
County, North Carolina 1840. James died February 16, 1872 Chattooga County,
Georgia, at 31 years of age.
He married Cynthia Elvira Graham.
Cynthia was born Chattooga County, Georgia March 7, 1841. Cynthia died December
5, 1918 Mt. Park, Oklahoma, at 77 years of age. From Mary Lee Meek's account,
Cynthia Elvira Cook fell in 1916 or 1917 and never walked again. James enlisted
in K Co. 21st Infantry Regiment from Georgia on August 28, 1861 as a private.
At the time he was living in Chattooga County, Georgia. He was promoted to
full 2nd sergeant, full ensign, and full 3rd corporal on April 15, 1862. He
was with General Robert E. Lee when he surrendered at Appomatox Court House, Virginia
on April 9, 1865.

45. John Henry9 Cook (James Franklin8, James W.7, Robert6, Charles5, Charles4,
Abraham Cook, Jr.3 , Abraham2 Cooke, William1) was born Chattooga County, Georgia
December 21, 1868. John died July 9, 1939 Belle, California, at 70 years of
age. His body was interred Rose Hills, Whittier, California, Rose Hills.
He married Dolia Lillian Baggett in Georgia, December 24, 1885.
Dolia was born Chattooga County, Georgia May 8, 1869. Dolia was the daughter
of Frank O. Baggett and Julia. Dolia died August 2, 1941 Belle, California,
at 72 years of age. Her body was interred Rose Hills. Dolia, as women
did of that generation, catered to her husband's every need. By reputation,
she was the best vegetable cook anywhere. She eventually died from tuberculosis.
Her duaghter, Lemma, moved from Oklahoma to take care of her.
She also contracted
tuberculosis. Fines Meek, her brother-in-law, moved her to Arizona where she
died.
John Henry Cook and Dolia Lillian Baggett

ii. Dora Etta Cook was born in Georgia April 15, 1891. Dora died June
10, 1894 in Georgia, at 3 years of age.

iii. Lemma Cynthia Cook was born Chattooga County, Georgia September 17, 1893.
She married Fines Wilson Meek in Mt. Park, OK, October 3, 1909. Fines was
the son of Thomas Rufus Meek and Alice Viola Young.
49 iv. Mayme Matilda Cook was born Wood County, Texas April 29, 1897.
50 v. Vesta Cook was born Wood County, Texas September 18, 1898.
Vesta died February 7, 1971 in Burbank, California, at 72 years of age. Her
body was interred in North Hollywood, Valhalla Mausoleum. She married Oral
R. Marvel December 21, 1919.

Henry Grady Cook was born in Oklahoma May 2, 1901. Henry died February 10,
1902 in Oklahoma, at less than one year of age.
52 vii. Alma Cook was born May 28, 1903. She married twice.
She married Emerson Oakes. She married an unknown person Cauthron, Arkansas,
March 24, 1923.
53 viii. Bernice Allen
Cook was born Blair, Oklahoma May 24, 1905. He married Hazel Marie Gibson
Licking, Missouri, 1925. Bernice discovered that his sister Vesta's husband,
Oral Marvel, was sleeping with Vesta's best friend. Bernice told Vesta and
Oral got mad. He got Bernice fired from his job working in a market. Floyd
Ragan arranged a bank loan for Bernice so he could open his own store.
54 ix. Ural Rowe Cook was born in Oklahoma August 11, 1911. He
married Ruth Knight February 28, 1934.
