Death came unexpectedly to Edward L. Lupo, age 59, early Thursday evening. He was a well-known farmer of the county who moved here from South Carolina thirteen years ago and four years ago married Miss Matilda Tanner of this county.

He is survived by his wife; the following children, J.E., Robert, Wilson, and Miss Sara Jo Lupo of Lakeview, S.C.; and a sister Miss Lula Lupo, also of Lakeview. He was buried in the Douglas Cemetery Saturday morning, following rites at Sims Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. B. E. Donehoo. Pallbearers were Charlie Carver, Youngie Fussell, Arthur Tanner, Clyde Scott, Donnie Lott, and Frank Simmons.
