Minor Lott Rowell Obituary

Mrs. John Rowell died Monday at Denton

Mrs. John Rowell, who is remembered at Douglas as Minor Lott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reason Lott died Monday, July 25th at her home near Denton.
This announcement will bring sorrow to many hearts. Mrs. Rowell was connected on both her father's and mother's side with extensive circles of relatives and friends, and there are those who loved and esteemed her for her own personal worth and Christian character. She was a consistent and faithful member of the Baptist church. She loved it's doctrines and ordinances and services, and did this without failure to include all who loved Christ within the genuine warmth of her Christian love. The loss of one so truly devoted to the faith of the Gospel is realized in the passing of this good woman from earthly scenes.

Mr. and Mrs. Rowell, with her parents were in Douglas last year in attendance upon Coffee County Fair, renewing friendships then that mourn their bereavement today.

The body was brought to the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Kirkland Monday night, and was removed thence the next day to Hebron church, nine miles from Douglas, where funeral was preached by her pastor, Rev. B. Burkett and friends joined in the last tributes of devotion. Burial was in cemetery of this church.
