Benj STARR to John G. OGLETREE et al

Wilks County This indenture made this third day of August in the year of our
lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty; between Benj. Star of
the County of Wilks and State aforesaid of the one part and John G. Ogletree
, Samuel Ogletree , Hope Ogletree, Thomas Ogletree, Pierce Ogletree,
Absalom Ogletree, James, and the heirs of Francis H. Ogletree diseased all
of the other part ; Witnesseth that the said Benj. Starr for and in
consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty-six dollars to him in hand
paid by the above named family of children at or before the siging of these
presents, the receipt hearof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and
sold unto the above named family of Ogletree’s their heirs and assigns. Eighty
seven acres of land situate in the fourth district of Henry now Fayette County
it being apart of lot No. one hundred and forty-seven in the fourth
district of Henry now Fayette County. To have and to hold the said Eighty-seven
acres of said lot of land with all and singular the members and
appurtenances thereof whatsoever unto the above named family of Ogletree’s their
heirs and assigns to their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee
simple: and the said Benj, Starr for himself his heirs and assigns the said
bargained land and premises will forever warrant and defend the right and title
thereof from himself his heirs Executors and administrators and from every other
person or persons whatsoever unto the said John G. Ogletree, Samuel, Hope,
Thomas ,Pierce, Absolom, James and the heirs of Francis H. Ogletree their
executors & C. In Witness hearof the said Benj. Starr hath hereunto set
his hand and affixed his seal the day

Benjamine STARR to Hope OGLETREE

This indenture made the twenty first day of January eighteen hundred and thirty nine between Benjamine Starr and Hope Ogletree both of the county and state aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Starr for and in consideration of three hundred dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and conveyed all that tract or parcel of land situate and lying in the third dist. of Henry County known and distinguished in plan of said district by lot No. (11) eleven and do by these presents bargain sell and convey the west half of said lot bounded on the west by the original District now the county line beginning at said county line at the corner of No. 12 (twelve) thence along said line of No. twelve to the half way dogwood corner on John H. Starr’s line thence direct South through the middle of said No. Eleven to the line of No. (10) Ten to a stake thence west along said line to the District and County line thence along said District and county line North to the beginning corner on No. Twelve be the same one hundred one and half Acres more or less unto the said Hope Ogletree his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. To have and to hold the said tract of land unto hime the said Hope Ogletree his heirs and assigns and the said Benj. Starr for himself his heirs executors admrs. The said bargained premises unto the said Hope Ogletree his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves against the claim of any other person or persons whatsoever.
In Witness whereof the said Benjamine Starr hath here unto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
