Buried at Morrow Cemetery on Belwood Road John Gambold is the only known Revolutionary War soldier buried in Gordon County. Gambold came from Spring Place in Murray County to establish the Oothcaloga Moravian Mission. The mission operated between the years 1822 to 1833 and served the needs of the Cherokee Indians. |
