If
you'd like to register your Gwinnett County
surnames, please send
your name and e-mail address, your primary surnames
(direct ancestors
and closely related names), and your genealogy web page
if you have
one. If you don't have a web site, it's pretty
easy to upload a
family tree to RootsWeb's World Connect, and I'll be
happy to link to
your main index page. See BELOW
for
directions for converting your family tree file to a
GEDCOM.
Please let me know if your email address or genealogy
web address changes. I check links periodically,
and remove broken links altogether. |

FAMILY GROUP SHEETS You may browse through family group sheets, and submit your own family group sheet, at the the USGenWeb Family Group Sheet Project for Georgia: Browse and Submit Georgia Family Group Sheets Here! CREATING A GEDCOM FILE I use Family Tree Maker software, so please excuse if these directions don't exactly fit the way your software saves files. If anyone has different directions for another family tree software, please let me know. Here are the directions for Family Tree Maker: Open Family Tree Maker. On tool bar, click on FILE. COPY/EXPORT FAMILY FILE. Highlight the file name you want to copy. On the drop down menu, click on GEDCOM. Click on SAVE. It will save with the same file name, but a special icon. Now, go to WorldConnect at RootsWeb: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ Click on "Submit Your Family File" and create a user name and password (be sure to keep a record of it, so you can update your file later). Be sure to determine how to handle living people in your family tree. For security and privacy, you don't ever want to publish information on living people. When you've described your family tree and made your selections, you'll browse and click on the GEDCOM version of your family tree file on your computer. It will upload from your computer to WorldConnect.
