Will of Thomas Dooley  - Dated  January 20, 1862

Will of Thomas Dooley  - Dated  January 20, 1862

State Of Georgia      }
Habersham County }

  In the name of God, Amen, I Thomas Dooley of said state and county being of
advanced age but of sound and disposing mind and memory knowing that I must
shortly depart this life, deem it right and proper both as respects my family
and myself that I should make a disposition of the property of which a kind
providencer has blessed me. I do therefore make this my last will and testament,
newly revoking and annuling all others by me heretofore made:

First: I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian
like manner suitable to my circumstances and connexion in life, my soul I trust
shall return to God who gave it, and I hope for salvation through the merits
and attonements of the blessed Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Secondly: I desire and trust that all my just debts be paid without delay by
my executors herein after named and appointed.

Thirdly: I desire and direct that all my property shall be equally divided
between all my children to wit Nancy L. Alley, Elizabeth A. Bryan, I give and
bequeath to my daughter, Mary E. Trotter, wife of William Trotter for her sole
and separate use for and during her natural life, free exempt from the debts
and liabilities of her present or future husband.  At the death of my daughter
Mary E. Trotter, shall pass to and become the property of the children and
representatives of children of said Mary E. Trotter forever, Linsey I. Dooley,
Sarah A. Seitz, Thomas J. Dooley, and James W. Dooley at my death.
