     Benjamin N. Hughes 80, 1 Stallworth, Gainesville Mill died Sunday in an Atlanta Hospital after a long illness.  Mr. Hughes was born in Union County. A retired farmer, member of the Belmont Baptist Church for over 40 years. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows.

     Funeral Services will be held in the Cool Springs Baptist Church Tues. 3 PM. The Rev. L.L. Bennett will officiate, assisted by Rev. Parks Whiting.

     Surviving Mr. Hughes are 3 sons J. E. Hughes, East St. Louis, Ill., C. T. Hughes Gary, IN., Ralph Hughes, Gainesville, GA.  3 Daughters Mrs. Floyd Neff of Winter Park, FL., Mrs. Essie Nelms, Chamblee, GA and Mrs. Ola Thompson, Gainesville, GA., 1 brother Joe Hughes of Athens, GA., 1 sister of Athens, GA.,  and several grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
