Lewis Ervin Powell Family This a a picture of my Gr. Grandfather, Lewis Ervin (or Irvin) Powell, born 1850, died 1926, and his wife Ella Nelson, from Maury Co., Ga.  Ella is holding a son Theodor Powell, born after 1900, and Lewis Ervin Powell is holding Thedaford Everett Powell another son born after 1900.  Lewis and Ella were married around 1880 in Dade Co., Ga.. Lewis Ervin Powells parents are Lewis R. Powell, born in Virginia, 1792 and Elizabeth Burke, born 1828, in South Carolina, died in Walker Co. Ga., near Kensington, Ga. and McLemore Cove, Ga.  Both are buried in th Old Antioch Church Cemetery.  Lewis Ervin's mother Elizabeth (Burke) Powell, died after 1900, in Walker Co Ga., but lived with her son Lewis Ervin and family till sometime after 1900. Lewis Ervin Powell and Ella Nelson's children were:   1. David William Powell - born 1885   2. William Burl Powell - born 1887   3. Pressley Lee Powell - born 1888,       (Pat (Powell) Springer's Grandfather,       married Flossie Jane Snider, 1912,       in Catoosa Co., Ga.   4. Lola Linda Powell - born 1890       married Alex Hobbs.   5. Dora E. Powell - born 1892,       married a Green   6. Rockabelle Powell - born 1895,       married Posey Denton.   7. Vanny Pearl Powell - born 1897,       married Oliver Gilreath.   8. Annie D. Powell - born 1899.   9. Lewis Ervin Powell Jr. 10. Thedaford Everett Powell born after 1900. 11. Noah L. Powell - born after 1900. 12. Theodor Powell - born after 1900. Pressly Lee Powell was my Grandfather, and his home with his wife Flossie Jane Snider, was in Catoosa Co. Ga., one county east of Walker Co. Ga. Pressly Lee Powell's son was Wilburn Leroy Powell, Sr., his son is Wilburn Leroy Powell Jr. (my brother), and his son is Christopher William Powell, (my nephew).   Submitted by: Pat (Powell) Springer
